Add a CSV Data Source

This article will help you to

  • Understand what can be done with CSV files in Reeport
  • Connect a CSV Data Source to your Reeport account

Overview

Reeport gives you the ability to connect multiple sources of data in one place. To do so, you will have to activate the relevant Connector.

What does it do?

With the CSV Connector, you can link a CSV file to your Reeport account. That way, you will be able to:

  • Organize, structure, and visualize data from your CSV file
  • Slice and dice the data from your CSV file without altering the original data
  • Cross-analyze the data from your CSV file with other Data Sources connected to Reeport

How does it work?

From the Data Source editor choose “Create data source” and pick the CSV connector

Then, select an option to import your file: File upload, FTP or SFTP

  • If you chose “File upload”, hit “Choose File” and select the file from your computer or drop your file directly

  • If you chose “FTP” or “SFTP”, enter the following details and hit “Connect”:

Note that to reconcile data between a CSV file and another Data Source, the Dimension and value names must be identical
